Nodera / Documentation

The essentials, all in one place.

Notifications, AutoChat and slash commands

How to configure native notifications, chat email alerts, automated messages, and safe player slash commands.

On this page

Nodera offers four different communication tools. Native notifications are written to the server configuration, keyword alerts monitor chat and send e-mails, AutoChat regularly sends messages to players and slash commands respond to their requests. The right choice will prevent duplicates and spam.

Which tool to use

NeedTool
Periodic native notification or reboot warningNotifications.json
Email when an important word appears in chatIn-game chat notifications
Regular message to game chatAutoChat
Response after player commandSlash commands

Native server notifications

Notifications.json supports interval messages, time windows, restart warnings, and one-time notifications. The change is sent to the agent, which securely creates the resulting file; the website does not write directly to the game folder and the save does not restart the server.

  1. Select the correct server.
  2. Add the notification type and its timing.
  3. Check the text and whether the record is active.
  4. Save and wait for the agent to confirm the write.
  5. Check the message at the next scheduled time.

Chat notification keyword

You can create up to five categories in In-game chat. Each has a name or keyword, cooldown and one or more target servers. The search is case-insensitive and will find the term anywhere in the message.

A global toggle in Notification Settings toggles all categories on or off. Email recipients are loaded from the contact form settings and are read-only on this page. Opening the page itself does not send the e-mail.

AutoChat

Each AutoChat message has an internal name, prefix, text, delivery method Chat or Announce, destination and interval. The target can be global, specific player or squad. The interval can be fixed or random between minimum and maximum; active hours can also be set.

  • SendChat supports named colors and up to 12 lines.
  • Announce is global and uses one line.
  • The placeholder text {online_players} will insert the current number of players.
  • For a player target, select a player using autocomplete; for squad, select squad.

Check existing native notifications before turning on a new message so players don't get the same text twice.

Slash commands

Slash commands are grouped in help menu categories. A category has a name, trigger tag, color, order, active status, and server assignment. The command line can only be help text or perform a supported response:

  • send static text, server time or player count,
  • notify the administrator,
  • perform the enabled event teleport and return,
  • show help and command aliases.

Nodera checks for trigger collisions. The answer is sent to the specific player who entered the command. Features like wallet, Warzone, Welcome Pack, NODERaid, duels or Squad Wars remain in their modules; the general editor does not replace them.

If the NODERA-RCON chat connection is not up to date, you can save the configuration, but replies will not be delivered until the connection is restored. Do not confuse a saved command with a successfully delivered in-game response.

Example from Main

As of 1 September 2026, Main had 8 active notifications in the time window, 4 active restart warnings, and 3 disabled one-time notifications. Two keyword categories were active with a two-minute cooldown; 18 notifications were sent in 30 days and 3 messages were correctly suppressed by the cooldown. AutoChat used three messages: help at a random interval of 40-70 minutes, restart information at 60-120 minutes, and the number of online players every 30 minutes. Active help menus included, for example, /info, /vipinfo, /welcomepack and /minigames.

Check before switching on

  • Is the correct server and category target servers selected?
  • Isn't the same notification already in Notifications.json or AutoChat?
  • Is the interval adequate and does the keyword have a cooldown?
  • Doesn't the slash tag conflict with another module?
  • Is NODERA-RCON current and does the history show final delivery?
