How to create and publish an article

This guide is intended for Nodera content managers. The documentation uses a draft and a published version so that a work-in-progress or unverified change is not immediately public.

Where to start

Log in to the administration, select the Nodera host site and open Documentation → Articles. The module is only available to owner or superadmin on an enabled host site.

Chapter and new article

1. On the chapters page, create a chapter or use an existing one.
2. Enter the chapter title and slug for each desired language.
3. In the list of articles, select New article.
4. Enter stable key, chapter and order.
5. Open the editor and select the language tab.

A stable key connects language versions of the same article. Slug is the readable part of public URL and uses lowercase letters without diacritics, numbers and dashes.

What to fill in the editor

• Title – clear task or customer question.
• Slug – stable and short address.
• Introduction – what the reader will learn.
• Content – procedure, explanation, checking the result and problems.
• SEO title and description – relevant search result.
• Applies to – module, role or audit date.

Use second and third level headings. The public page will automatically create article content from them.

Draft, preview, and publishing

1. Press Save draft.
2. Open a preview of the saved draft and review the text, links, tables, and images.
3. Verify that it does not contain secrets, personal information or inaccurate live claims.
4. Use Publish saved draft and confirm the operation.
5. Open public URL and check the result on desktop and mobile.

Publishing works with the last saved draft. Text that has only been entered in the editor, will not be made available to the public. Each language card is stored and published separately.

Change of address and history

When changing the published slug, the historical URL remains redirected to the current article. URL of another article or its historical reference cannot be taken. You can open an older revision in history and restore it as a new draft; the public version will only change after a new publication.

Archiving and editor conflict

Archiving will hide the article in all languages. Moving the chapter or order changes the navigation. If the article has been edited by another editor in the meantime, the system will not overwrite the newer version. Copy your own text, refresh the page and consciously merge the differences.

Current example

As of 1 September 2026, the host documentation contained 47 published Slovak articles in 5 chapters. Therefore, any subsequent patch must preserve the existing page key, URL history and owning module instead of creating a duplicate tutorial.
