The essentials, all in one place.

Battle Royale and tournaments

How to manage a dedicated Battle Royale server, schedule rounds, results, and restart cycles, and prepare standard tournament brackets.

On this page

Battle Royale is a separate game mode with its own server, rounds, rules, kill feed, ranking and content. Tournaments are a broader module for organizing participant brackets. The two features can complement each other, but they are not identical: Battle Royale automates repeated game rounds, while an administrator prepares, publishes, and closes a tournament as a specific competition.

Battle Royale screens work with a dedicated battleroyale server. Don't confuse them with Warzones on the Main server or switch servers just by the article title.

Where to find it

How to set Battle Royale

  • Auto queue: after the pause, another round will be prepared if the mode is enabled and the server is ready.
  • Countdown, length and pause: determine the entire cycle. The player must have time to enter before the start and the result must be closed in time.
  • Vehicles: permission, probability and separate spawn points. The score is not the number of vehicles in each round; configuration and randomness apply.
  • Late entry: border safety tolerance and height offset help position the player without getting stuck.
  • Restart cycle: after a configured number of valid rounds, the module can schedule a controlled restart with a warning. Test or invalid results should not pretend to be valid competition rounds.
  • Rules and Packs: public content must match what the mode actually uses.

Recommended procedure

  1. First prepare the rules, information page and basic packs. The player should know when he can enter and how the result is determined.
  2. Check all player and vehicle spawn points. One faulty point can spoil the whole round.
  3. Set countdown, length and pause. Test one round without the automatic queue.
  4. Verify that the kill feed only shows events belonging to the given BR round and the ranking uses valid results.
  5. Turn on automatic queue. Allow the restart cycle only after verifying the counting of valid rounds and warning messages.
  6. After each major change, watch at least one full round from the countdown to the final result.

How to prepare a tournament

  1. On the Tournaments page, create a name, description and type of competition.
  2. Add and check participants. Remove duplicates and unconfirmed names before creating a bracket.
  3. Create a bracket of a suitable size. Byes must be clear and must not be confused with completed wins.
  4. Publish the tournament only when the rules, participants and time are final.
  5. After the matches, write the results in the correct branch. After the final, mark the tournament as complete; archiving serves to clean up old or canceled records.

Example from Battle Royale server

Status of the database as of 1 September 2026; it is not a Main server, but a separate battleroyale server.

SettingsExample
Cycle3 minute countdown, 90 minute round, 3 minute break; total interval 93 minutes.
VehiclesEnabled, 70% chance, 104 of 104 saved spawn points enabled.
Late entryTolerance at the border 750 m, height offset 5 m.
RestartAfter 5 valid rounds, 2 minute warning, another start after 1 minute. At the time of the audit, 2 rounds were counted from the last cycle.
Results475 historical entries but only 2 marked as competitive and 27 as single winner rounds. The total number is therefore not the number of valid BR rounds.

In the Tournaments, the latest "MMA EVENT" was completed with 8 participants and an 8-slot bracket. Total status: 1 completed and 4 archived tournaments. The names of the participants are not part of the public example.

What to check

  • Round not started: check mode enable, autoqueue, schedule and dedicated server status.
  • Ranking does not fit: compare only valid final results. Historical, test and incomplete records do not have equal weight.
  • Vehicles missing: 100% points allowed does not mean 100% chance of each vehicle; also check the probability and result of a particular round.
  • The restart is scheduled incorrectly: first verify the number of valid rounds. Manual restart of the SCUM server is always subject to separate express approval.
  • The tournament bracket is inconsistent: don't fix finals before earlier branches; start from the first wrong match and keep the history.
